Property taxes for tenants at 2.8 X's vs. homeowners in the City of Toronto.

Above Guideline (Rent) Increases re capital expenditures by landlords.

ACTION Steps:

Using social media promote tenant rights in short media type ads like Heritage Canada.

Select a Toronto residential grid with both apartments and homes and compare their property tax revenues going to the City of Toronto. Also, compare old and new tax base for apartment buildings in the City.

Continue to advocate for landlords in Ontario to set aside 10% of their revenues for capital expenditures, there by, building a reserve for future capital needs.
